Father, I've come too far to go back now. Take me in Your arms today, and empower me in such a way that my life of worship and witness will be entirely transformed. For Jesus' sake. Amen.
"The ultimate accomplishment is integrity"
Today is such a wonderful day, a perfect day, and you are perfect within it. This is a perfect day for you to simply be who you are, in all of the ways that you are, without editing, without asking whether what you are is good, or whether what you are is acceptable. Today is a day just to be you.
And this means saying what you feel, doing what you care to do, speaking your mind. Yes, you will want to be respectful of others, but you will also want to be respectful of yourself. Respecting others while disrespecting yourself is not the answer.
You will find that the deeper you go into self-respect, the easier it will be to respect others. The deeper you go into self-approval and self-love, the easier it will be to love and approve of others.
Your attitude toward others is so often a mirror of your attitude toward yourself. Be easier on yourself, more tolerant and forgiving, less demanding, and it will follow that it will be easier for you to extend this to others as well.
After all, what is this great accomplishment, perfection and success you seek? The ultimate accomplishment is to live with deep integrity, to have every moment an expression of you, every action, every word, every thought, a true expression of the person that you are, shining out with wonder and glory, your truth and beauty gracing the world around you.
This is the ultimate success, the ultimate accomplishment. This is why you are here, to grace the world with that unique spark that only you have, to light the corners of the earth with your own glow, to make all of life brighter and more wondrous because you have the courage to shine out and lighten the world around you.
Here is a little prayer for today.
I acknowledge my own beauty and wonder. I know that I am worthwhile. I know that I am enough, more than enough, for my lifetime.
I am strong and capable and can handle what comes my way. I am full of courage and light and can shine out with who I am in every moment. I am full of truth and burn to share that truth with the world.
I am a light to the world. I shine. I am.
