GOALS

"To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed." ~ Bernard Edmonds

Maybe your gifts and skills are modest, but to hide them,
to not develop and share them, whatever they are,
would be a great tragedy.
Years ago, I wondered how I could live with myself if
I didn't do what I knew would improve the lives of so many.

I knew I couldn't.

My Exciting Beliefs

-- I'm making the most of my life now and every day.
-- I am committed to living my life with passion
-- I'm using my unique gifts to enrich myself and others
-- I'm making myself worth more each and every day
-- I believe in the future of the human race
-- I bring out the best in others
-- I make and achieve my GOALS.

Goals.

The average person has no long-term goals.
And the word creates a lot of confusion.
Most think a goal is a goal when it's something like: You
want to be rich; want a movie star body; win a gold medal;
get an advanced college degree; in short, to desire
something really huge.
The trouble with big goals is not that you're dreaming out
of your league--it's that very few set goals in such a way
that they ever get accomplished. Like everything, there's
right and wrong ways to do it. You can buy books, and go
to seminars to learn how. I did. But honestly, it boils
down to a few simple steps and some things you can do to
ensure that you'll stick it out and be there at the end
with your hands raised high.

First you must be able to visualize you goal, and see your self as already having reached your goal. Picture yourself in your minds eye living your achieved goal as often as you can everyday.
And at the same time STOP thinking about anything that is in the way of you achieving your goal. The mind will only accomplish one thing at a time. So if you keep having other, negative, thoughts getting in the way of your mind reaching your goal, then you will surely fail.
But if you replace all the negative thoughts, with your vision of having already reached your goal then there is no way you cannot reach your goal.
Now while this sounds relatively easy, IT IS NOT.
To help with this you must be able to describe your goal in great detail as if you were writing it down for someone else to read, and when they read it they would have a crystal clear picture of everything in it.

Example:
Your goal is to have a new car.
What kind of car, what color, what make, how big, what kind of interior?
What kind of sound system? What CDs would be playing?
Where would you be traveling to in your new car?
What would the roads be like that you drove on?
And so on, and so on, and so on.
VERY SPECIFIC with DETAILS.
See, feel, smell, and live your goal of having that car everyday.
Before getting up in the morning, and before going to sleep at night.
And every time a thought comes into your mind that gives you the feeling, or illusion that you could never have that car, you must replace it with the image of you driving down the beach highway, with the top down, and the sun shining, the smell of the salt air, and the seagulls crapping on the hood. Everything.

Once you can master this simple step to achieving your goals, and I mean truly master it.
You can then begin to make a difference.
A difference in your life, and everyone you touch.
This is true of anything you really want, desire, or dream about.
You have to really want it, and then live it daily.
And all your dreams, and goals will come true.

"Ask and it shall be given you,
Seek, and ye shall find,
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

Good Luck, and congratulations.
